Both eighth grade classes have been working on researching and deciding upon a historical speech to memorize and share with the class. Students chose a wide variety of speeches including Franklin D. Roosevelt's Pearl Harbor Address to the Nation, Edward VIII - Abdicates the Throne, St. Franci of Assisi's Sermon to the Birds, Lou Gehrig's Farewell Speech, The Holocaust Speech by Pope John Paul II, and the 9/11 Speech given by President George W. Bush.I am very proud of the skill these students showed as they presented these speeches as if they were giving them themselves. Congratulations, eighth grade, on a job well done!
