"Archie of the Amazon" Performed by 7th/8th Drama Class

The 7th/8th Drama Class performed "Archie of the Amazon", written by Jay Moriarty, on October 29th, 2009. It is a comedy about film producer Larry Livermore, who is desperately searching for an unknown to portray the lead in his next film, Archie of the Amazon. He's about to give up when he learns of a wild jungle man living deep within the Amazon rainforest. With his loyal assistant, Kimberly, and a jungle guide, Borneo Joe, Larry penetrates the bush where he discovers the wild man is not only real, but friendly! He even has a mountain gorilla named Ingagi! Although the people who live in the jungle, such as animal trainer Betty Beatty, ecologist Dorothy Greener and Princess Aquacola and her hostile tribe, have all seen the wild man, they've never gotten close to him. To confuse matters even more, explorer Osa Byrd traipses through, searching for the illusive Amazon Ghost Moth with three teenagers who won the trip on a quiz show. Needless to say, this was a hilarious spoof that the students thoroughly enjoyed performing.
