2014-15 All Saints Speech Team Off to a Great Start

Today was the first day of school and the beginning of the two Speech Contest classes.  We have twenty students in the two classes combined.  As we did last year, we will be having Speech Contest practice for those wanting to participate and are not currently enrolled in the classes.  Check out the information below.  I hope to see you on September 2nd when after-school practices begin.

An Invitation to All 4^th – 8^th Grade Students Interested in Competitive Speech

All Saints Catholic School’s Speech Team is a member of the National Junior Forensic League.  This makes it possible for our students to compete within the public school arena.  We attend at least two competitions every year. 
 

In order to be a part of the All Saints Speech Team you must commit to the following:

 Be enrolled in Speech Contest, OR attend at least one ‘after school’  practice every week.   Practices are on Tuesday and   Thursday from 3:30-4:30 in Mrs. Stafford’s room (Room 303—Fine Arts Building)


Categories included in competition are:  Original Oratory, Standard Oratory, Humorous Prose, Serious Prose, Humorous Poetry, Serious Poetry, Dramatic Duets, and Humorous Duets.  Students may choose the category that most interests them.


After school practices will begin on Tuesday, September 2. Please see me if you have any questions or concerns.
