Drama & Speech with Mrs. Stafford: Summer Camps for Speech, Drama, and Debate

All Saint’s Debate Camp

· When: August 1-5, 2016

9:00AM – 12:00PM

· Where: All Saints Catholic School

Fine Arts Room 303 (Mrs. Stafford)

· Who: Incoming 5^th – 8^th Graders

· Why: Students will learn competitive debating skills in order to compete in next

year’s tournaments.

· Cost: $100.00 for the week

Few school activities teach children to be confident, well-spoken, and thoughtful adults like speech and debate events. All Saints is one of the few schools in Tulsa that offers this opportunity to young students. Want to get a head start on next year’s competitions? Come to our speech (see additional flyer about speech/drama) and debate camps this summer!

Beginners will focus on basic argument skills, beginning debate speeches, and impromptu speaking. Experienced debaters will begin working on and practicing for next year’s topic. They will work on building and developing skills for this coming year. Registration and payment are due no later than Friday, May 20^th. The maximum number of students is 20. The minimum number is 14. All materials will be provided. A daily drink and snack will be provided. There will be no refunds unless the camp doesn’t make.

If enrolling before school is out, you may put your child’s enrollment form and a check made payable to me (Beth Stafford) in my school mailbox in the office. Registrations and checks may also be mailed to: Beth Stafford, 7829 S. Union Ave. #1704 Tulsa, OK 74132

On Friday, August 5th, students will perform for parents beginning at 11:00AM in the classroom. Parents are welcome to bring lunch for themselves and their “debaters” to enjoy during performances. Feel free to call me with questions. 918-527-0868

· Why: Students will learn to prepare and perform

speech and duet (drama) events

· Cost: $100.00 for the week
